    The new, clearer HAR export/import toolbar buttons in Chrome 76 are a small step in browsers improving built-in support for web archiving! You can create a HAR using the browser, export, and then replay in-browser using:

    This might seem like just an elegant hack but it means discrete web archives (WARC files) can be easily shared as static web pages, without having to set up and maintain complex server-side playback software.

    Client-side web archive replay can blur the line between an archived page and an archive, but perhaps also provide additional transparency and insight into how the web archive replay process works by moving most of the hard work to the browser itself!
