In Minnesota, we know that organized people will always beat organized money. Tonight, our movement didn’t just win. We earned a mandate for change. Despite outside efforts to defeat us, we once again broke turnout records. Despite the attacks, our support has only grown.

It’s essential that we continue fighting to strengthen our democracy, to uplift those who are living in the margins of society, to rid us of the ills of our history with enslavement. If you think that's un-American or unpatriotic, that says more about you than it does me.

“Our party is running from its own shadow. It’s afraid of its own ability to resonate with the American people. We have allowed the Republicans to reduce our messages to their messages, which makes us fight on their battleground.” sums it up.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s “most fervent wish” was to have her replacement appointed by the next President. Honor her by mobilizing your neighbors to fight against hypocrisy, whether it’s through protesting, getting out the vote, or voting early — we need all hands on deck.

Republicans are now saying "we can't have a 4-4 court on election day." But that's exactly what they did when Merrick Garland was nominated. Any reporter who takes this bad-faith argument seriously should be rightly shamed.

I am voting early and in person. 1/5 of Minnesotans have already requested their absentee ballots. What’s your voting plan?

What that means is: if other deeply Democratic congressional districts turned voters out like we consistently do, Trump wouldn’t be president right now. Activate. Organize. Vote.

Democrats’ power in Minnesota flows through the 5th District bc of our consistently high voter turnout. This turnout difference isn’t bc Minneapolis is more progressive than other large cities. It’s bc we know how to organize. And this organizing is why Democrats win in MN.

Consider this: the difference in Democratic turnout in Minneapolis vs. Detroit, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia is greater than the margin with which Trump won Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. Each of those cities and their congressional districts are just as Blue as the 5th.

Speak out. Protest. Vote early. And join me in putting the pressure on Mitch McConnell by demanding the Senate wait until after Inauguration Day to vote on a Supreme Court nominee:

This refugee is going to have a good time voting you out of office. Many have tired and failed miserably to divide Minnesotans, we are greater than fear.

As activists bravely speak out against ICE’s gross violations of religious liberties, I am renewing my demand for an investigation. Everyone involved in forcing detainees to choose between food that contradicts their religious beliefs and rotten meals must be held accountable.
