It's not a coup. The coup was Maduro's sham elections. Additionally the opposition party is more left wing than most of the democratic party. But go off

It’s not a US backed coup!!! Jesus. Can it be handled better than we are, absolutely, but falsely calling it a coup is beyond ignorant. This, after your non apology over your antisemitic remark is making me rapidly loose respect for you.

Realize that the opposition we are supporting have been asking for a peaceful dialogue for years and were shot in the street by gov forces, which is why we established a sanction regime. Our left seems to be going the way of the Uk Labour Party, may the gods persevere us.

I like you but I disagree with this. This is not thinking of the Venezuelan people and from their narrative. Nothing will come of being peaceful for the Venezuelans at this point.

Why is overthrowing a South American Government yet again a good decision? The US can’t even keep its own government open and right now there are government workers that have to rely on charity to eat, can’t afford rent and may be evicted, and can’t afford their medicine.

What are you talking about? Guaido is the duly elected Speaker of the National Assembly, which Maduro unlawfully dissolved. He is not some US stooge. We merely recognized what is true and right. How can you side with a murderous dictator over the Venezuelan people? Shame on you.
