Thank you St. Anthony Middle School for inviting me to speak with the Prinicpal’s Advisory Council and over 230+ middle school students! Education is the greatest equalizer. That is why I am committed to education equity and protecting resources all students need to succeed.

When we’re not approaching labor issues with an intersectional lens, then we’re often leaving someone behind. Thank you all for joining our town hall on pay equity and women in the workforce!

When we say this President doesn't care about forgotten communities, this is what we mean. Multibillion dollar corporations are paying less and less in taxes, while 10 million Americans are paying more. 👇🏽

Last night we hosted our first Community Conversation on gender and racial pay equity! Together we discussed work being done through organized labor, advocacy and legislation at all levels of government, and attendees brainstormed ways to get involved. Co-governance in action! ✊🏽 – 在 La Doña Brewery

It is deplorable that one of the richest countries in the world still has communities without access to safe and clean drinking water. And it's why I introduced the WATER Act to address this national crisis.

Today marks *5 years* since the Flint Water Crisis started. Since then, a generation of children have been poisoned and disease outbreak has killed more than a dozen people.

This is devastating. 3,600 refugees—including hundreds of children—are near active combat zones in Libya. We should be supportive of UN efforts to evacuate those in harm’s way.
