It clearly says (second last paragraph) as an average man "you shouldn’t take it personally" and although the dynamics don't favour you, "it doesn’t take much effort to swipe right". But yeah he does say it is probably a waste of time, that's his advice too. Fair enough.

Honestly, I think the pervasive idea of instant gratification and not being ready for the overwhelming amount of rejection that comes with an overexposure of matches is what does it.

The advent of dating apps has made it incredibly fast to see hundreds or thousands of potential dates. So naturally people want to match with people as quickly as possible. But this also greatly increases the amount of reject you’ll have to face.

Willing as in romantically interested. Willing to interact, go on dates, etc. "for a random female/male Tinder interaction the male is likely to “like” the female 6.2 times more often than the female “likes” the male".
