Now let’s start with the movie’s 3 main problems cus yeah i get it’s not perfect but fuck you were gonna praise it for a bit. No we’re not talking about it’s inaccuracy cus this is disney what do you expect
It’s a comedy series, bout Hercules teen life in school with his friends Icarus and Cassandra. Icarus is an incel and Cassandra is the goth psychic we deserve.

many of the characters are actual characters from greek mythology like Helen of Troy and Adonis, the Royal Couple, and other gods are given spotlight like Athena, Ares, and Aphrodite!

There was a crossover episode with the Aladdin series which was fantastic and should be enjoyed by all cus Jafar and Hades are totally drinking buddies

The music wasn’t exactly that of the movie but the songs (80% of which were sung by the Muses cus they and the narrator are back) are gorgeous.

The biggest mistake Disney made with this grade A series was a simple one, but one that could have played into Hercules 2. at least in my theory. Persephone.

Now Disney never DID add her to the series and she was only in the back back of a crowd in the movie near the end of it, but the team working on the series had intended to. They only ever mentioned two ideas they had for her.

Either A: She was Hercules’s new teacher or, my personal favorite, B: She was the daughter of Hades and Demeter who went to the underworld every winter season cus of a custody battle

I like B more because there was so many opportunities that could have been DONE. How would she have acted, would she have been preppy like you’d imagine a goddess of spring or would she have her father’s sharp tongue? So many things could be done!

Now my (totally will never happen but i like to dream dammit) idea for Hercules 2 would be as follows:
Show this thread -
We follow the story of Persephone, daughter of Hades and Demeter, who is PISSED bout what Hercules did to her father. He’s not evil, he loves his kid. So she goes to fight him. But Hercules is dead. It’s Hercules’s son or daughter who has to fight her for their father’s honor.

They come to realize in the end they never can be their fathers a la lion king 2, but why should we fight their losing battles? Hades never got into Olympus, but neither did Hercules. Seph just has to learn to deal with the fact her dad is evil, whether he loves her or not.

The Muses are still there and the Narrator is there, the only people who aren’t there are Hercules and Hades, only their shoes have to be filled by people who can’t do what they do, so they have to find their own shoes.

This concludes my Disney Hercules Thread. Please, go watch the movie and the series.
