Yesterday was informed that Amb. Dalili had suffered a massive heart attack. Today was shocked to learn of his death. Amb. Dalili was a fine diplomat, a patriot and a good friend who played a critical role during Afghan Peace Talks in Doha. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Last year this week we started the reform process and submitted the 256-page package for approval. I’m pleased that parts of the package have been implemented and now acknowledged by MEC. I wish my colleagues at MoFA every success in implementing the rest of the reform plans!
