Unfortunately sometimes people who come to the ED for a minor thing ramp up to unreasoning faster bc they expect to be in and out quickly for a minor thing. PSA: This is the exact opposite of how the ED works.

"The victims include two women and 32 children. Journalists. A double-amputee in a wheelchair." Quiz time! In journalism, the information considered most important is placed highest in the story (at the beginning.) Is that text, fr an article about the killing of a medic, from:

The implication here, if you missed it, is that serious protests are solemn and free of food, color or joy. 200 people are dead in a months-long effort to rouse the conscience of the world to stop the strangulation of 2 million civilians, but God forbid somebody sell them snacks.

Rashida Tlaib has been sworn into congress wearing a Palestinian thobe. So I’m going to share this grainy, oversaturated photo of a simple thobe set I wore five years ago in 2014 even though my eyebrows were shocking lmao.

Can we get that in writing, please? Bc we are a couple weeks away from a Trump-standard climbdown-with-absurd-declaration-of-victory.

Have you tried Manakesh before?, It's a Palestinian traditional bread that can be made with different fillings and you can have it for breakfast or dinner. In Gaza, it's a delicious meal in winter especially with hot tea.

Thing I would watch: Aging Indiana Jones gets really into 1970s ethics shift in archaeology (partly driven by experience watching colonialist powers unleash occult forces out of hubris) and starts heavily advocating for the repatriation of looted relics.

More to the point, she was investigated for war crimes in Europe owing to her role in the 2008-2009 “Operation Cast Lead” against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip. She was Israel’s foreign minister at the time; more than 1400 Palestinians were killed. But still too dovish.

I often find myself at odds with the "this needs to go viral" crowd, bc often these videos, at which we are invited to be outraged, don't give enough context to judge the participant's actions. This is an exception. That asshole assaulted her. Skin-crawling level of entitlement.
