Until yesterday, I was optimistic about coronavirus, but I had nagging doubts. So I took an hour to research.

I also thought about what I wanted to be true (life will go on as normal, recent stock buy wasn't dumb, people just enjoy being apocalyptic), how that was informing my beliefs, and then tried to weigh the evidence independently of what I'd like. It didn't come out favorably.

So I adjusted my beliefs. It could turn out fine for my area! But now instead of hoping, I'm hedging with basic prepping, and sold stocks. If it turns out fine, I'll have peanut butter forever (this is a win/win, actually), and will have lost a smidgen of income.
