A majority of Bay Area cities lose their zoning tomorrow. Yep.
State politicians are holding local governments accountable: Cities that failed to master plan for allotted housing lose ability to enforce exclusionary zoning.
This, the cost of inaction. https://darrellowens.substack.com/p/ca-cities-to-lose-all-zoning-powers…
What is the value of #democracy? Is more democracy always good? Does #politics make us stupid? Had an amazingly fun conversation with philosopher #JasonBrennan about the book Debating Democracy.

ChatGPT is not great at 20 questions. Played twice and told it up front I was selecting a fictional character. The first was Gollum, and the second was Andy Dufresne (Shawshank). Took more than 30 questions both times, and then got error messages.
"In the comments, nominate narrow empirical issues that you suspect Epstein covers in a biased manner. Tell me exactly what I should read on the other side, but try to keep the reading recommendations short."
Any jobs that require mediocre essays can now, *in real life*, be done with ChatGPT assistance! Students who use ChatGPT to generate essays are *realistically* showing they can handle the mediocre-essay-writing jobs for which modern universities are vigorously training them.
