Uwaaa I couldn't finish the project in time 😭 It's only about 30% complete...coding the "gameplay" took too much time even though it's incredibly basic clicker-style gameplay I can't abandon my art accounts anymore so I'll finish EJECTA slowly over the coming months

Python code that returns optimal text color for readability based on given background color. Cobbled together from stackoverflow. Made this so I no longer have to think for myself in future renpy projects XD

Day 29: It's complete! Final word count is 9334 words. Playtesting it now, the story pacing is insanely fast 👀 it's bonkers like my last project. Too late to change anything now but I think it turned out well.

Day 26: Scenes 1, 2, 3, and half of 4 (out of 8 scenes total) fully polished! Again, I wanted to polish more to up the quality but there's not enough time 🥺
Day 25: UI fully polished! All screens work perfectly unless I missed a bug somewhere. Actually I want to polish more but there's not enough time left 👀

Day 18: Scene 7 and 8 integrated with placeholder assets! Next steps: make the missing assets, write the codex, polish + bugfix
Day 17: Scene 6 integration complete! But it's going to need polish later. 2 scenes left, and ~20% of the script left to integrate! I also haven't drawn the CG for the last scene. I expect the script to be fully integrated by Monday.
You know, I never really liked the idea of Ren'Py's rollback in cinematic VNs as I always felt rolling back visual effects (i.e., in fight scenes) break immersion. But for h-scenes with minor ATL animations rollback is perfect. I'm sold.
Finished a song. 😌 It's a remix of a song in the public domain and it'll play during several of the h-scenes. Those who picked up on the hints I've left may be able to guess where it's from 😉

Day 12: Quite a bit of time today was spent on coding a really important feature, will reveal soon 😌 Also, scene 3 integration halfway done.
Day 11: Coded some stuff that I haven't implemented until now: "layered images" and "say with image attributes". Adjusted the sprite a bit, drew 2 mini-CGs for scene 2, replacing the placeholders. Scene 2 pretty much done!
Day 10: Tried drawing a background (😂). Fixed two massive bugs. Integrated scene 2 with a few placeholder assets.

Anyway, Day 9! Decided to code today for a change of pace. Styled the UI, coded the name customization system, and fully integrated the first scene of the script! It's the shortest scene but the groundwork laid today should make it faster to integrate future scenes.
