  1. What a brilliant result for our new MP , winning the Airdrie and Shotts by-election with an increased vote share 46.4% (+1.4). I know Anum will be a hardworking local champion for Airdrie and Shotts, and a strong voice for Scotland at Westminster

Having spent hours trying to get Home Office to abandon their operation, without success, I am pleased Police Scot intervened on public safety & health grounds to release individuals involved. But let me be clear, the Hostile Environment created by UK Govt is not welcome here.

  6. I'm pleased a temporary resolution has been found but while migration and asylum is reserved to Westminster we'll see damaging Tory policies imposed against Scotland's will. Dawn raids, detention, deportations, Windrush, 'Go Home' vans - it has to end.

  7. People in Scotland do not want the Tory hostile environment, with UK Home Office raids on our neighbours. It's crucial that Scotland becomes an independent country, with full powers over migration and asylum, so we can build a humane system based on compassion and human rights.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland has spoken. The SNP's landslide victory was bigger, in comparison, than any Westminster election victory since 1931. 🔎 This makes the mandate bigger than those of Thatcher, Blair, Cameron or Boris Johnson. 🗳️ It's time Westminster respected democracy.

The utter disinterest that shows to any speech but his own and those of robotically supportive Tory MPs is disgusting. It also reveals a deep contempt for Parliament, which is why he is using this Queen's Speech, Orban-style, to take more powers to the centre

📺 After broadcasting the whole speeches by Keir Starmer and Boris Johnson, the BBC choose to cut off Ian Blackford's speech - just as he starts talking about the SNP's election victory.
