    Voting has now ended for selecting Labour candidate for West Midlands Mayor. Some were determined I wouldn’t even be in the race. My campaign began with only 2 volunteers a few months ago to becoming serious contender. THANKYOU to all my brilliant volunteers-you’re the best!🌹💕

    I'm in a debate about climate justice and I'm sickened to hear a Tory MP blame the lack of family planning "in Africa" for the climate crisis. The problem isn't people in the Global South having kids. The problem is disaster capitalism.

    This never happened. Invented by the Tories to divert your attention from a child having to lie on a hospital floor; reported by media that didn’t bother to check if it was true. This is what media bias looks like.

    73% of women who apply for refuge don’t get a place. Homelessness isn’t just street homeless and rough sleeping. DV need for women and men is completely different. 3 men a week don’t die as a result.

    Most homeless people are men. Most refuges are for women. The housing crisis is NOT a feminist issue. It is a social issue.

    Of course, some of the younger MPs were less lucky as they were saddled with student debt. Then again, they weren't living in Iraq so were all much luckier than the hundreds of 000s who were murdered

    Spot on. Bizarre how much some in want to trash the record rather than properly and effectively take on the Tories .... Some MPs enjoyed a New Labour education. Do they know how lucky they were?

    This 'press independence' is all fake. With very few honourable exceptions the British press united in craven support for Johnson and 100% opposition to Corbyn. Because they defend the status quo

    I voted against Tory welfare reforms in 2015. This BBC documentary further exposes their devastating impact. Tinkering around the edges of a fundamentally cruel and broken system isn’t good enough. As Labour leader I would scrap Universal Credit.

    British journalists' coverage of the Irish leaders' debate is really quite shocking. They report fairly the three leaders' political positions and apparent competences in good faith. They might even be largely honest. Why is all that possible in Ireland but not here? Oh Robert 🙄
