    My 2007 🇦🇫 interpreter. Rejected for relocation by the UK. On his way to a new life with another NATO country. As chuffed as I am, I’m fuming that he and hundreds of others have been denied relocation to the UK. It’s a stain on us as a nation

    By the looks of it, Ben Wallace tried to take a stand against bullying & sentimentality and wanted to prioritise people over animals. He deserves credit for that, even if he was (shamefully) overruled.

    Thanks god we won’t be worrying for too long about all the vulnerable and unrescued interpreters, chefs, security guards, teachers, aid workers, academics, Afghan journalists - and young Afghan LGBT people - who are being left behind. Anyone remember Blackie the Donkey?
