  2. Well, here's a story. Doing some stretches against the wall, relaxed the arm and shoulder, slowly does it... Slipped! Arm bent quickly and felt my shoulder distinctly crack in three different places. Guess what? No more pain. 🎉

  5. Remember earlier when I said complacency kills? Mindfully create instead of mindlessly consume. Improve yourself. No-one else can do it for you. No-one can learn these skills for you. No-one else can capture the burning desire in you that is slowly fizzling out.

  6. Make the most of what you've got! Recognise what you have. Other people are out there right now doing a whole lot more than you, with a whole lot less. In our pockets we have access to more knowledge than our ancestors ever had in any of their libraries.

  7. Complacency kills. I'm not saying don't have downtime. I'm not. But to fill your evenings and two days off work every week with passive activities in which you sit or lay and just consume is damaging. Physically and mentally.

  8. Time is your most valuable asset - spend it wisely. I spent way too much time not living up to my potential, wasting my life on trivial things. A lazy day here and there is fine, but it can easily spiral out of control and end up as a week. A month. A year. Ten.

  9. And nothing is perfect, either. Perfectionism is a damaging concept. Just be your best self. Have standards. Give that little bit extra.

  14. Does anyone else immediately stress test new things? My wife got me a new keyboard for Christmas, and the first thing I did was try to bend it, pick the keys out, pull the cable out... Not that I wanted to break it, of course, that would have been very rude of me.

  15. Really need to look into rehabbing my shoulder. Pains like this usually went away in a month or two, but this has stuck around for over a year now. I'll admit I took my foot off the pedal in 2019, not just due to this, but going forwards... No more excuses. Let's fuck shit up.

    The threshold for the amount of discipline one needs to have to survive in an age of abundance of everything keeps getting higher.

  20. Feeling like a burden is a powerful one. It feels awful. Raising awareness here - You just gotta know that there are more people willing to listen than you realise. Also, be mindful of those around you. Reach out to someone and offer an ear if you think they need it.
