Here are the regional and global numbers. 1.6 billion women and young children are deficient in at least one micronutrient. That's 56% of preschool-aged children and 69% of women 15–49 y worldwide. This is a widespread issue likely affecting half of the people on the planet.

Here are the country-level data for women 15–49 y. Prevalence of deficiency in iron, zinc, folate & vitamins A, B12 & D are each higher than 40% in some countries. In Bangladesh, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, India & Pakistan 9 in 10 women are deficient in at least one micronutrient.

Here are the country-level data for preschool-aged children. Prevalence of deficiency in iron, zinc, vitamin A & folate are each higher than 50% in some countries. In Pakistan 9 in 10 children are deficient in at least one micronutrient. In India & Cambodia 8 in 10 are deficient.
