If you aren't reading white feminism in that, you haven't been listening over the past umpteen years that we've been saying that this is medieval studies is a white field and that adding white women to it or white LGBTQ+ is not "diversity." Look closely at your signatories.

Also, also, also, lemme just say that 'no field has been more engaged than the premodern' -- medieval studies cannot take credit for the work that BLACK women did in early modern studies. Yes, women in general have fought for space in medieval studies, but you all excluded
