We have learned during #COVID19 that no one is safe until everyone is safe. We have a responsibility to ensure the safety of everyone, not only citizens, as viruses do not distinguish according to nationality or legal status.
Within Europe, investment in social inclusion and access to services for migrants have never been more important to prevent destitution and vulnerability to exploitation, but also shore up community cohesion more broadly.

During lockdown, we see how vital migrants’ support to communities has been. While we stay home, migrants are working in supermarkets, distribution centres, transport. In many EU countries, 40-50% of hospital workers are migrants or of migrant background. They risk their lives.
