In other sports you arent travelling at that speed on roads. Lets assume he connected flush & picked up a knock out. Quite a few lads in the peleton couldve suffered. You cant have that going on. Might make an interesting potential other sport though with a bit of padding.

How do you react if someone is holding you back or perhaps swearing at you?. No, there's no excuse for what @GianniMoscon did but when AFP report that "Gesbert tried to help his team leader, Warren Barguil" get into the escape you do wander what HE did in the first place.
