Looking at the SC2 map pool right now makes me feel like we should just be honest with ourselves and re-release maps with tropical skins

Ohhhhh so I take it you want to help judge the next TLMC Panda? @RazeSC2 @WarrenSC2 ofc the invitation is open to you both aswell! Ofcourse, the position is unpaid and overworked, but you guys seem dedicated. We are always looking for self driven people who care for maps....

What makes you think I have any problem with the current state of maps? I generally like stable metas and similar map design, this is the happiest I've ever been with mapmakers. My issue is with @AVEXyli's victim complex.

The fact that you see it as a "victim complex" instead of a shared problem, at least from my perspective doesnt speak all too well of how you might perceive things to begin with..... ofc no offense intended

I see it as problematic because the implication is that others have to change in order for your content creation role to be acceptable, which leads to outbursts against people exhibiting behaviour you disagree with, because you feel powerless to change your situation yourself.

You got it backwards Raze, Mapmaking isnt "content creation", it is game design. GameDev is almost by definition iterative, can't iterate if there is no feedback to iterate upon..... The problem here is that if pros dont engage in feedback, then they'll get worse quality maps
