History is littered with examples of minimally-armed guerillas taking on massive militaries and doing significant damage, and sometimes winning; from the IRA to Vietnam, from Syria to the French Resistance. Pretty arrogant to assume what happened in Vietnam couldn't happen in USA

And the one with the most current and historical evidence to prove it wrong. Poorly armed civilians have resisted invading or regimes otherwise considered oppressive (rightly or wrongly) for about all of history. Everywhere from feudal Japan to WWII Europe and onwards.
