Celebrity Jeopardy! seems like a good intro to Jeopardy! since the questions are easier (though I’m not sure I could have beaten those three — though I did know the critical Final Jeopardy question).

Man, the Celebrity Jeopardy! semi-final between Patton Oswalt, Brendan Hunt, and Michael Cera was really exciting; they all played a great game. I’ve been introducing my kids to Jeopardy! with Celebrity Jeopardy!, and I like the new format with the Triple Jeopardy.

Sure, let’s hold Megyn Kelly accountable for… *checks notes* …raising doubts all facts were disclosed. Ooh! She’ll pay for that! She’ll pay for doubting the police disclosed all facts! To account she will be held!

Thanks Seattle Times for this list of people who made fun of Paul Pelosi. Hold them accountable:

Doesn’t JK Rowling understand how much she’s damaged her reputation among terminally online weirdos?

“This is a terrible tweet. Why is it in my timeline? No one I follow would be idiot enough to retweet that.” *looks up and sees “For You” is selected* “Oh.”

I kept trying to find if there was some trick to specifying two subjects, but nothing worked. I got something pretty close to what I wanted using a simple prompt (“woman confronts lich”) and doing a remix for more specificity.

But I can understand “good enough” Star Wars sequel dominating the box office after the prequels. I just never understood what about Avatar would make it the highest grossing thing ever.

Well, those Star Wars sequels weren't that great either.

This is so confusing to me. I mean, if it did well, that would make sense to me. But best ever is where I just can’t fathom.

Winchester got lots of presents for his 4th birthday. I told people he likes Chewbacca, Boba Fett, and monkeys.

To get a new image for my short story “Who Murdered the Dinosaurs,” I eventually got near what I wanted by using its blend command and feeding it an image of a dinosaur fossil and a taped crime scene.

So far my biggest problem with MidJourney is that if your specifying two subjects in an image, it tends to combine them. So when I was making an image for Glenda Dragonfire of the title character confronting a lich, it tended to make her look undead too.

When a person hears hoof beats, the rational person thinks “horses,” the conspiracy-minded person thinks “zebras,” and the woke leftist thinks “hoofed white supremacy.”

I really thought that after George Floyd there might be a hard look at Qualified Immunity, but then the “defund the police” morons vomited all over that.

Goldeneye is host to one of my greatest gaming accomplishments, which was unlocking invincibility on the second level by hitting the target time. I don’t know how many tries it took — and part of it was luck based on where one NPC appears.

I think I’m going to go through and replace the cover images on all my short stories on my Substack from the “good enough” stock images. It should be some good prompt practice.

Anyway, I think MidJourney will work better than finding free stock photos. It’s only $10 a month, and the Substack cover images aren’t worth a lot to me because they’re only seen when posting a Substack to social media; people who get emailed a post don’t see them.

I decided to invest $10 in trying out MidJourney for making images to go with the stories on my Substack. It seems to give mainly visually coherent images more to what I’m looking for versus DALL-E.

Between watching that and Everything Everywhere All at Once, I've seen eight Oscar actor and actress nominees. That's got to be a record for me. And they nominated someone in an MCU movie, so I'll probably see that when it's on Disney+.
