IKEA is working with the Let’s Go Zero campaign, delivered by climate solutions charity Ashden, which aims to help all 32,000 schools in the UK reach zero carbon by 2030.

4/5 Lochfield Primary School in Paisley, wish to transform part of their school grounds into a community garden with an allotment and composting area.

3/5 📍Fixby Junior Infant School in Huddersfield, would like to build an allotment and fresh produce swap shop for pupils, families, and the local community.

2/5 our products, solutions & funds (for the value of £2,000 for each project). 📍East Barnet Secondary School in London, will be transforming part of their school grounds into an outdoor classroom, allotment, and composting area.

Starting with this challenge, our research will be used as a touchpoint for Leibovitz to create portraits that shine a light on the way people really live today as an extension to our Life at Home Report.

Inspired by our research, she'll be turning her camera lens to life at home around the world and in the UK, as our very 1st IKEA Artist in Residence. According to our findings, as many as 46% of people in the UK say they don’t feel their life at home is represented in the media.

We’ve announced our collaboration with the renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, following the release of our 9th annual Life at Home Report earlier this month.
