My question is ‘what does it mean to be this in community in 2019?’ What does the climate emergency mean for us? @andynortondev 5 thoughts on how can this #DCdays19 community can contribute to:
1. Recognising the need for transformational speed of action on all fronts: mitigation, building resilience, DRR – what are the implications? “Winning slowly is the same as losing” #DCdays19
2. Getting serious about climate justice – more finance reaching those worst affected, and a serious conversation about financing and recognising loss and damage #DCdays19
3. Enhanced ability to deal with the worse scenarios – without giving an inch on the 1.5 target need to recognise that it may be worse than that… #DCdays19
4. Making the effects of the #ClimateEmergency in the worst affected countries visible on a global scale #DCdays19
5. Building the movement to shift governments... The UK manifestos, the Sunshine movement etc. In the end politics has to align or we won’t win. #DCdays19
