    The problem with the Rogan Spotify thing is that racism, sexism, etc are wildly popular in the United States. Spotify will only distance itself from the man if they feel enough financial pain. They do not care that he’s a pig. That’s why he’s popular, which is why they pay him.

    Think of all the extra income new builds will bring in under Sunak's plans. Say 250k new homes are built a year, that's £10 million in £40 fees for power suppliers. Worse still, it all goes to their shareholders as they only have to repay the treasury what they get in 2022.

    That’s why I asked this question last month. Spotify removed the episodes a while ago, but they did so quietly and never said why.

    My question for Spotify is, why do they feel it’s appropriate to leave up Joe Rogan episodes that spread COVID misinformation, when they’ve deleted dozens of his more controversial episodes like his interviews with Gavin McInnes and Milo?

    I was thinking about this yesterday, and all evidence indicates that Spotify likely *did* vet Joe Rogan’s past episodes. Prior to the current controversy, the platform had already quietly removed dozens of his more controversial interviews.

    It's quite astonishing that Spotify seemingly didn't vet Rogan's previous podcasts before signing him with a reported $100 million deal -- and even more astonishing if the company did vet them, knew of the racial slurs in past episodes, and simply hoped they wouldn't be found.
