Federal prosecutors have used the rare charge of Civil Disorder to coerce plea deals from people who got caught up on charges during the uprising last year. We attended a court hearing for Matthew Rupert in September:

I need people who don't live in Minnesota to take the 33 seconds to watch this, and realize that the state here is declaring war against its own civilians.

Lots of Army at the Brooklyn Center Police Station as more of the community begins arriving to protest. Seeing a lot of National Guard vehicles in and around the area i’ve never seen used in civil unrest before.

200+ anti-racist activists gathered at Laurelhurst Park in Portland for a vigil for Daunte Wright, a 20 year old Black man killed by a Brooklyn Center police officer. The killing was only ten miles from where George Floyd was killed less than a year ago by police officers. 1/3

Night time. A person, mostly in silhouette lights candles in front of a vigil in Laurelhurst park. Most candles are lit and the lighting is mostly orange. Signs lead against a structure. One reads "No Justice No Peace Abolish the Police" in black text on a purple background. Another reads "Justice for Daunte Wright" in black on a white background.
A large crowd, mostly dressed in black, marches down the middle of the street facing the camera. A banner at the front reads "Justice for Daunte Wright" in black on a white background, there is also a circle-A in red on the banner.
A dumpster is tipped over and on fire in the driveway of the MCSO Office. Two cops cars off in the distance on the side of the office are shining very bright lights directly into the camera.
The front of the brick MCSO office. Windows at the front of the building are mostly shattered out, in front of them on a low wall is a bronze dog statue. There are two tags in black on the building reading "BLM" and "ACAB".
Light fixtures that are normally on this part of the building are missing, one lays on the wall next to the dog statue.
