Command Sgt. Maj. Alice Randolph has been selected as the Idaho National Guard's next senior enlisted leader. She will replace Command Sgt. Maj. Scott White upon his retirement later this year. Randolph will be the first female to serve as the state's senior enlisted leader.

Last night our State Aviation Group assisted the Boise County Sheriff’s Office with the rescue of an injured hiker along the Deadwood River. The flight crew transferred her to a Boise County deputy for transport to medical aid. : Always Ready. Always There.

More than 26 years after commissioning into the Idaho Army National Guard at the Idaho State Capitol, Ryan Robinson returned Thursday as Gov. Brad Little promoted him to brigadier general. Robinson will serve as the director of the joint staff.

ADVISORY: Nearly 10 F/A-18Cs will be operating out of the Boise Airport for the next 14 days. These aircraft are not conducting training with the Idaho National Guard but will be flying multiple sorties a day from the airport. For inquiries or noise concerns: 208-422-5252.

Today we honor and remember CW4 Jesse Anderson, CW3 George "Geoff" Laubhan and CW3 Matthew Peltzer. The three pilots were killed on this date last year when their UH-60 Black Hawk crashed outside of Boise during a training flight. Their loss will forever impact our organization.

Today the Idaho National Guard mourns the tragic loss of one of our own. Last night SFC Jason Thometz passed away unexpectedly as the result of complications from emergency surgery. He had served in the Idaho Army National Guard for more than 20 years.
