Healthcare should be universal. Period. Doctors should treat absolutely everyone and many doctors do consider it their responsibility to treat ailing people regardless of the context around the treatment. If we get rid of that principle then society becomes a shaky thing.

Doctors are human beings. If you were a doctor and someone said they didn’t wanted to be treated by [insert derogatory term] you’d be like, sure come through, let me check your blood pressure

People are just against this because they want to freely be racist.

Don’t you take an oath?

I don't think there is an oath in the UK.

The Hippocratic Oath says nothing about being personally obligated to treat everyone who wants your help

I have been saying this all day

Whereas it's fine for the racists to say they don't want to be treated by NHS staff who don't speak English
-
I dont think you can call someone racist for expecting your healthcare provider in the UK to have at least a good grasp of English!

We don’t have the Hippocratic oath here in the UK. Doctors and allied health care professions are still humans and are here to care and treat unwell people not to be abused. The fact that people are really arguing about this is mind boggling. We don’t work 12+ hour shifts 1/2
