Two Patriot missiles were launched at a Syrian Sukhoi fighter jet that infiltrated about 1 mile into Israeli airspace. The IDF monitored the fighter jet, which was then intercepted by the Patriot missiles.pic.twitter.com/owL4Pm7zER

Since this morning, there has been an increase in the internal fighting in Syria and the Syrian Air Force's activity. The IDF is in high alert and will continue to operate against the violation of the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement.

Golan heights is Syrian Territory. SAA flying sorties against Jihadists, then as usual its either the Iranians or the Israeli Air space. The battle hardened SAA will have its day, naked aggression needs resolute retaliation at an appropriate time

LOL! Golan Heights is officially Israeli since 1981 annexation of it. SAA always tries to penetrate Israeli airspace to see if we are vigilant. SAA are *so* hardened they didn't even try to take the Golan in 50 years, never protested when we destroyed their nuke site in 2007.

Syria had a lot to lose then, caution was the mantra, The combined US coalition missile strike in Syria had limited effect. Repeated aggression has only helped improve SAA air defences soon it will be more costly for attacks.

Israel also improved considerably its air power and defense against Russian-made missile systems.

True, note that missiles fired by David Sling missed the the targets on the 23 July. Those were soviet missiles Tochka. It is undisputed that Israel has the best air power in the middle east and world in general however, naked aggression is not acceptable

I'm not sure they missed the target. The target of the missiles were not Israel. So the Arrow missiles were not suposed to even intercept them, which must have been confusing to their system. They were launched as a precaution only.
