  3. This is Marwan Abu Mayaleh. The door to his family home in Hebron’s H2 district is welded shut “for security reasons”. We supported his business sewing tents more than 10 years ago, and while business is not great, he is surviving - but hoping for better times.

  19. Sameh lost both legs during the 2009 Gaza war. Despite his background in business administration, he could not find work after his legs were amputated. His skills became useful again when he applied for an ICRC microeconomic initiative grant and opened his own stationary shop.
