The other day I was pitching my idea to a prospect who is into fashion and I told her why she needs a website.

First, I was thrown off balance, trying to decipher her reasons. On further enquiry, she said only 2 people have bought from her website before. People still love to do business the traditional way. Then, I asked if she has gone on Google to search for products before.
She answered affirmatively and even said she ended up buying the product from the links. So I asked, what do people who are searching for your products find? Can they find you on Google? If websites does not work, will you find useful information on Google?
She thought about it for long before agreeing that she wasn't doing things right. You may also think websites or blogging is dead but that's an indication that you aren't doing your SEO aright.
