I’ve gotten the exact same question about that PS5 article from 4 people via private message, so I think it warrants answering publicly. The answer is not nearly enough SPUs.

Cell was before my time & I've heard a lot of horror stories about it......what was it like & any way to get a development kit these days?

If you lived close to me, I’d invite you out to lunch so I could undo all the damage your greatly misinformed friends did. Cell was glorious and possibly the best gaming architecture ever. And developing for it was the highlight of a decade of my life. I miss SPU asm terribly :(
