This just happened at the @Walgreens on Gough & Fell Streets in San Francisco. #NoConsequences @chesaboudinpic.twitter.com/uSbnTQQk4J

We will never achieve world peace if you guys can't see that Walgreens will lose nothing from this, and that man probably resorted to this because he had no other choice.

Actually, Walgreens has closed 17 stores in SF over the past 5 years because of theft. That is a loss to the community. And this isn’t just some desperate guy. It is organized theft where the goods are resold online and at open markets. https://abc7.com/shoplifting-video-san-francisco-walgreens-theft/10791421/ …pic.twitter.com/9zEs3uMNHr

my b i read the wrong thing. the underlying point still stands though. stealing from a walgreens may not impact the overall business, but it hurts the specific location. if the store has issues or doesn’t make money, it gets shut down and people lose jobs.pic.twitter.com/bUbkGSEOIh

Yeah that’s a scam operation as per the Better Business Bureau (I get it, it looks somewhat legit). Something like this impacts that location minimally, especially in a location as populated as San Fransisco. The man didn’t steal hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of merch.pic.twitter.com/jdTXT74acs

right, but if it’s okay for him to steal whatever he stole, why don’t we just let anyone steal whatever they want? this is being praised as a good thing, so let’s just make it the norm.

Everything is situational. This isn’t a mom and pop store, he didn’t rob folks at gunpoint, he took pennies from a corporation.
