Actually, Walgreens has closed 17 stores in SF over the past 5 years because of theft. That is a loss to the community. And this isn’t just some desperate guy. Walgreens is part of the community. If they opt to close people will have to travel out of their community to fill prescriptions. Mom and pop pharmacies won't be able to afford insurance where theft is rampant.

Corporate stores aren’t part of the community, they feed on it and they leave when it is no longer profitable. I don’t know what it’s like everywhere but Walgreens and CVS certainly ran most of the mom and pop pharmacies run by actual community members out of the places Ive lived
