I feel like we need a #notanincel hashtag for people to share stories about how they are flawed, damaged people who look in the mirror and don't like the person they see, and yet they have relationships and find love and basically don't become bitter, resentful incels.
The problem is when using statements of needing to be in sexual relationships to qualify as not incel, that is already really messed up.

Totally fair. I apologise for my binary thinking.

The whole awful "if you're not in a relationship you're not a worthwhile person" thing that is EVERYWHERE in western society really doesn't help. The belief that even a terrible relationship is better than no relationship is incredibly toxic and damaging.

Pretty much. Combined with a weird ass worshipping of romance (abuse is fine if he loves you!) and sex shaming while worshipping, aromantic sexuals are especially targeted. Why does it even matter if consensual adults want sex without romance anyway?

People have a remarkable inability to just ignore stuff that doesn't affect them.

For real. If I were rich I'd hire a steam plane to paint CONSENTUAL ADULTS LET THEM BE on sky
-
Or a messenger service that runs up to people being judgemental or rude and hand them a little card that says, "This person's identity and life decisions do not affect you in any way. You are not entitled to tell them your opinion."

I'm so keen haha

Especially consider that people seem to start to grudgingly accept asexuality is a thing but mention aromantic and you might as well tag yourself as Satan himself.
