The thing to keep in mind is that stuff like this could easily be against YT’s will, since the advertisers are the source of income. THEY are the ones who don’t like independent creators.

I see what you mean, and they defiantly affected it. But Google don't like independent creators and thinkers. This is something you can see in all arias of their business. Just look at the censoring of people they disagree with, it's even an internal problem.
