How come he couldn't just engage the diff locks and reverse it out of that predicament? It didn't look wedged in that image.

Instructed by police who witnessed it not too, also by reversing could have cause more damage t on the Bridge or trams lines

Why didn't he just put it into reverse looks like it would have gone back on all wheels if he did it slowly

2 main reasons.. 1st, the police where onsite within 30 secs, they probably told him not too. 2nd, and risk parts of the bridge falling, safest place for that truck is where it is until the all clear was given
