    Unbelievable. Former U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer was working for a Chinese surveillance company responsible for oppressing more than a million Uyghurs in Xinjiang. This is shameful. The ties between the CCP and CA Dems are deeply concerning.

    This is the right thing to do. Lifting outdated restrictions unfairly treating a reliable democratic ally & security partner out of deference to PRC is overdue. The US shld freely & openly work w/ other democracies, even if unofficial it should be conducted w/ dignity & respect.

    Today, I am lifting all self-imposed restrictions on executive branch agencies’ interactions with their counterparts from Taiwan. This action will benefit both of our great democracies.

    This is good news. Taiwan is a strong U.S ally. Allowing direct contact between the U.S. and Taiwanese officials will strengthen our U.S.-Taiwan relationship and sends a strong message that U.S. will conduct its foreign affairs on its own terms.

    🔥WOW. The US has just massively upgraded their relationship with Taiwan. Nobody did more than to make this happen. The UK should follow. The Taiwanese aren’t even allowed to call their London office an Embassy. Why? You guessed it folks.
