That is a physical sign of a covenant with G-d. The fact that such a horrific act of antisemitism would occur not only on Shabbat, but during a dedication of a baby unto our L-rd, the spiritual implications are plainly evident.
@TzviZucker Some thoughts on my part regarding #Pittsburgh. Some of the congregants were there to attend a bris. This is important, because this past week's Parashat was about Avraham meeting the three men while recovering from circumcision.

Only an act of Satan would be so bold as to attack G-d's children in His house, while His people are obeying G-d's commandments. Truly antisemitism can accurately be described as coming straight from the pits of hell.

My heart is heavy, but as I see Jews here in the US and around the world stand in solidarity together in the wake of all of this, it does lift my heart. Let this be a warning to people reading this, that I refuse to allow antisemitism to go unchallenged.
