People love to find patterns that help confirm their biases. And people are loath to let go of those patterns, even when presented with proof and/or testimony to the contrary. I hesitate to do this b/c it's a fraught subject, but "A-Team/B-Team" believers are like anti-vaxxers.

You can present them with all of the evidence in the world to demonstrate that the WoW team has always been the WoW team (aside from normal shifts of folks to other teams/outside Blizz over time) and it's just easier to say "YOU'RE LYING, THERE'S NO OTHER EXPLANATION"
