For those of us familiar with Labour internal politics in Pollok not that surprising that local CLP didn't nominate him for Deputy, but still...

Special Constables have been a crucial part of policing for generations, and were really keen to build on that legacy - could it be you?

📽 Scottish MPs are being actively prevented from voting on a Bill which directly affects our NHS & how it's funded. We can’t even vote on our own amendment. English Votes for English Laws isn’t "a union of equals" – it’s unsustainable, as 52% & more in Scotland seem to agree.

In a debate affecting how much money the Scottish and Welsh Governments are allocated towards their budget, only English MPs were allowed to vote. You'll have had your union of equals Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

“I don’t think they win a mandate just by winning elections” says Lisa Nandy. Makes you wonder why she’s bothering to stand in an election right now then.

As ex counter terrorism coordinator in Scotland I agree completely with Humza Yousaf on both penal policy and Prevent/de-radicalisation. Both better in Scotland but no room for complacency. Being a welcoming inclusive society prevents most need for Prevent interventions.

For all the opposition chatter about Police numbers being cut in Scotland, just a reminder that today Police Quarterly Stats are out and show there are 1025 more Police Officers than inherited in 2007! Only possible because of our commitment to resource Police properly.

Some facts: 1. Amman grew up and was radicalised while Johnson’s party was in govt 2. Amman was sentenced under legislation in force while Johnson’s party was in govt 3. Amman was imprisoned and “rehabilitated” in prisons whose budget was cut by 40% by Johnson’s party in govt

The first duty of any government is to keep its citizens safe. Tory governments over the past 10 years have signally failed in this duty. The austerity chickens are coming home to roost.

Three polls in last few days showing support for Independence rising & gaining in popularity - after almost 13yrs in Govt! Our record of delivery & leadership clearly putting us way ahead of our political opponents. 50% a good foundation but plenty of work still to do!
