FYI 99% of these illustrators are better at drawing than me. Which is why it’s curious they choose to exclusively draw stick figures. I suspect, in part, that’s where the money is, hence why I give the advice to go where the money is.

I have never seen someone go so hard for the lowest stakes, I am impressed.
-
I’ve seen many talented illustrators change styles in a day and shit on their previous work, work that was much more labor intensive, as if it were trash.
-
I’m no expert, but maybe folks like making work that’s enjoyable for them to make lolpic.twitter.com/GIubQhWDhI

They didn’t enjoy it until everyone else did, *all of a sudden*. Maybe their “enjoyment” is more malleable to arbitrary market forces than you make it out to be.
-
Wait I’ll indulge you. Who exactly is your enemy here?
-
A handful of design executives and marketers specifically, as well as any illustrator who identifies with the whims of capital, which wants to cheapen the cost of doing business with designers (illustrators included).
-
idk what “identifying with the whims of capital” is but we out here trying to eat, it’s impossible to live outside of capitalism while participating in it. Our labor is being cheapened, but don’t blame illustrators. You’re punching in every direction but the right one lol
