    A great open door policy means staff respect closed doors & learn to set limits and close their own doors. Great managers also know that people won't always come to your door - sometimes you need to come to come to theirs.

    While we need to watch what we say, leaders need to notice how many are saying and remember that when a number of people say or do things across a number of situations - it's not the people but the system.

    So much on LinkedIn today about learning from our failures. Consider spreading this idea "the opposite of win is LEARN not fail" Remember Thomas Edison learned thousands or different ways not to make a light bulb before he learned to make a lightbulb.
