John B. Goodenough found out he was one of this year's chemistry winners while he was brushing his teeth! The caught up with the man himself earlier today to talk about the award... 🎧 (Listen out for his infectious laugh!)

Maybe someone already suggested this, but this tweet made me think that every scientific meeting/conference over the next year should organize an Eaton 5K. I don’t run myself, but I’d walk it at . What say you ?

Another great paper from Samsung AI lab! @egorzakharovdl et al. animate heads using only few shots of target person (or even 1 shot). Keypoints, adaptive instance norms and GANs, no 3D face modelling at all. ▶️ 📝

Interesting theory: "While the men were out hunting, grandmothers and babies were building the foundation of our species' success – sharing food, cooperating on more and more complex levels and developing new social relationships."

Brooding marsupial frog (Gastrotheca riobambae) with over 100 fertilized eggs in her dorsal pouch! This species is endemic to the Andes of Ecuador and will carry the eggs for over a month until they hatch as tadpoles and are released into water.
