There was a show called Scared Straight where this was the entire premise. Scare kids straight at a young age and they stay out of trouble when they are older. Doing this kid a favor if he was acting up.

I agree completely. I have a special needs son and they do not always understand the repercussions of their actions. Sometimes they just react without thinking. All they did was teach the boy to fear police.
