UPDATE: we won! The public pressure (and potential legal issues) got city officials to scrap the unlawful, overreaching, and intrusive police checkpoints around my neighborhood. Thanks to all the folks who pushed back. Thanks to those who listened and reversed course. 💥

Unnerving and uncomfortable that the City of San Antonio, namely CM Bravo and SAPD, would sanction ID checkpoints for the Tobin Hill neighborhood. Any potential interest in regulating traffic/parking generated by the Strip’s bars is VASTLY outweighed by our Fourth Amdt rights.

Some of my neighbors have campaigned and urged others to call 9-1-1 at every suspected gunshot and parking violation in the neighborhood so that reported crime numbers in the area are skewed up. It’s honestly the whitest thing ever, counterproductive, and quite embarrassing.

I just wanna know who all is running for San Antonio City Council. Filing has opened and this is still such a quiet election season. 😶‍🌫️ If somebody is doing a candidate tracker google doc, drop the link or something.

The only solution is to pause all Supreme Court activity until they find the leaker. Put up a temporarily closed for maintenance sign. 🏛️😌

If I had money, a good loan & no student debt, I’d open up a coffee shop/bakery w plenty of outlets & patio seating overlooking the riverwalk on this empty lot. Open daily 7 to 6. Gay bar, Fri & Sat nights 10:30p to 3a. Space for progressive orgs to meet. ok bye back to work!
