A vampyrellid amoeba, feeding on a green alga. These vampires puncture algal cell walls with enzyme 'fangs' and suck out juicy cell contents. We have similar vampyrella amoebae in ! They feast on aphanizomenon, which dominates many of our harmful algal blooms.
