Same, my brother recently asked me about ADA and Chia. My friend was new to crypto in January and very risk-averse, is now all-in ADA. One of the smartest people I know messaged me about ADA just a couple of days ago, looking for “Eth alternatives”.
Doge, Shib, flavour of the week/month etc still makes sense. It's quite impressive how ADA invariably has been part of these conversations for the past three years.

I think it ties back to the psychology behind owning thousands-millions of a coin while it’s still cheap. Only reason I can think of ADA still being the go-to “eth killer” from non-crypto folks.

That's absolutely true. Channels like
@JRNYcrypto,@SheldonEvans,@TradingWithPaul and@cryptorecruitr talk about it nonstop, at least when I got into it in January. Naturally I ended up in ADA too for awhile
