Trust me, 100% agree, just trying to play the optimistic card here. I personally have minimal faith in BSC doing anything original. That being said even sushi was a straight ripoff initially, it has just received very strong leadership and Maki has proven he's a shipping beast.
I think people grossly underestimate how significant Nomis Masterchef.sol contract was. It was essentially responsible for kickstarting the entire food farming craze.

Sushi did an excellent job at Frankensteining a bunch of projects that mattered at the time (uni and yam mostly) but then quickly adding a lot of innovative features as well. Agree that it was hugely important but I believe was basically yam++ for farming? (could be wrong tho)
