Dont you think they accuire these amounts for BTC via OTC deals?
They used the Coinbase OTC desk for bits last time. But even OTC desks need to execute somewhere when this size is involved. They don't have magical infinitely replenishing treasuries.
Of course they need people holding a lot of BTC wanting to sell, if not... well price goes up, that is how markets work. But if you own 30k bitcoin you dont want people to discover that you moved your coins to Coinbase, so there will be ppl wanting to sell
